Our client needed a proposal generator for his translation company. Upon receiving a request for quotation, the user would select the customer in the CRM system and click a link to the generator. The user would select the language pairs from a drop down list, enter the word counts and select the document type from another drop down list. After the basic information was entered the user is presented with a screen to review and edit the standard language in the proposal. When everything is in order they click the Generate button and a complete proposal is generated through a PDF class. Additionally, the system tracks all projects with a gantt chart and alerts for different aspects of the project.
A manufacturing company needed to recreate a quality control system in LAMP that had been originally built in MS Access. We built the new system to produce the same quality reports as the previous system with additional productivity. Originally, the person generating the reports would spend about an hour per report. The time to generate a report from start to finish is now about 10 minutes. Prior to the new system one person would run a report and email a spreadsheet. Now, test results can now be viewed everyone on the network.
We were contacted by a large agricultural company then take over the maintenance of their system and support their in house software. The company sells flowers and plants on television and the web. The system they had developed was simply being outgrown. After one year of support we migrated the home grown CRM system to vtiger. On the web, they were using Magento. We developed a number of scripts to move information between the two systems and built a shipping system integrated with the shipping company.
